10. Ushio and Tora

Ushio and Tora

We start our list with 90's anime Ushio and Tora which was later aired in 2015 to 2016. It is an adventurous, dark fantasy and supernatural anime. The story revolves around the main character Ushio, who has a strange demonic energy that attracts other monsters. 

The supernatural, gigantic and some invisible like tiger, Tora is a demon in this series who made an offer to Ushio. Tora asked Ushio to remove legendary Beast Spear that trapped him in Ushio's basement for 500 years and Tora will help Ushio in fighting with monsters. In most of the story, you will see both of them fighting with different creatures from Japanese myths. The Ushio and Tora series also include the relationship of Ushio with two girls Tomboyish and Mayuko.



9. Gatchaman Crowds

Coming up to top 9 we have Gatchaman Crowds. Gatchaman Crowds is a 2013 anime series which was produced by Tatsunoko Productions. The first season was aired in 2013 and the second season aired in 2015. This anime has pretty silk CGI effects. Anime has the cutest female anime protagonist. 

The female protagonist Hajime finds herself into the member of the superhero group which was called Gatchaman to fight aliens threats. Gatchaman group consist of special soldiers who fight in reinforced suits powered by the manifestation of their spiritual powers called NOTE. Berg Katze is the main antagonist who is an enigmatic alien creature in this anime. Berg Katze wants to destroy the earth just like he did with other plants and Gatchaman have to stop him in order to save earth from this alien threat.

8. Sailor Moon Crystal

Next, we have Sailor Moon Crystal anime in our list. Sailor Moon Crystal was first released in the early '90s. Instead of remaking the series based on the 90s series, Toei produced Crytal as a Sailor Moon reboot based on original Manga. Just like original series, this series also follows Usagi who is a 13 young girl that meets a black cat called Luna and obtain a power to become titular character. 

The black cat Luna asked Usagi to join other Sailor Guardians also. In order to search Princess Serenity and Silver Crystal, other sailor guardians Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Venus and Tuxedo Mask also join her. She has to find Silver Crystal before the Dark Kingdom destroy the earth.



7. Mr Osomatsu

Next on our list from Top ten anime reboot is Mr Osomatsu. Mr Osomatsu is a comedy anime. The anime is based on Fujio Akatsuka's 1962 manga. The anime adaptation of 2015 follows Mr Osomatsu and his sextuplets Matsuno brothers as adults. 

This series has more adult humour than the previous one. The series was aired in 2015 and this series has the second season that was released in 2017. The story is simple, Mr Osomatsu is 10 years older than his other brothers. Matsuno brothers are identical who cause mischiefs. In this 2015 series, they're grown now with their unique personalities and the series follow brothers in their daily lives.

6. Hellsing Ultimate

Coming up to number 6 we have Hellsing Ultimate. Hellsing Ultimate is an adventure, dark and horror anime. Hellsing Ultimate series follows the protagonist Alucard. Alucard with his master and his newly sired ward Seras Victoria want to save England from an SS-Major who try to start a war. 

This anime was rebooted in 2006 to 2012. This 2006 series was produced by Geneon and contain 10 episodes in it. It was basically an OVA which represents original manga more closely than its anime. The old version of Hellsing Ultimate was release in 2001 that ran for two years, from 2001 to 2002 and had 13 episodes in it. However, this 2001 version follows the manga but was entirely different in terms of plot twists.



5. Devilman Crybaby

Next on our list is Devilman Crybaby. Devilman Crybaby is a dark fantasy, horror anime. It was rebooted in 2018 and was based on Go Nagai's manga series. It was aired on January 2018 worldwide. Previous anime is too old. It was aired in 1987 and was also based on Go Nagai's manga series. 

The story follows the character Akira, who was asked by his friend Ryo to merge with one of Devil to fight against devils who invade humanity after being frozen for millions of years. This anime adaption is just amazing. Animation and visuals are stunning. You will see how messed up humanity will become when they are consumed by fear and paranoia. It's by far the best performance of the character's legacy.

4. Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works

Number 4 on our list is Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works is a dark fantasy, action anime. The anime is based on Fate/Stay Visual Novel that was produced by Type-Moon. The series was announced in 2014 and was decided to divide into two parts. 

The first part was released in 2014 and the second part was released in 2015. This anime received too many positive reviews from critics. The story followed Shirou a high school student who was bought to a Fifth Holy Grail War with a group of other six mages. That seven mages were chosen to become masters of seven classes of heroic spirit and they have to fight and win a Holy Grail. Holy Grail in this anime is a chalice who will grant a wish to its victor.  



3. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

Moving onto top 3 we have Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a fantasy, action and supernatural anime. The series rebooted in 2012 and now have four seasons. The first season was divided into two parts, the first part was aired in 2012 and the second part was aired in 2013. 

The second season was also divided into two parts that were aired between 2014 to 2015. After that season 3 and 4 were released in 2016 and 2018-2019 respectively. Old anime was released in 1993. The story or plot of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a story of the Joestar family. The Joester family was possessed with intense psychic strength and story follows the adventure of each of member throughout their lives.

2. Hunter X Hunter

The second anime from our top ten anime reboots list is our most favourite Hunter X Hunter. Hunter X Hunter is an adventure, fantasy and martial art anime. The anime was first adapted in 1999 with 62 episodes carrying. This anime was rebooted in 2011 and aired from 2011 to 2014 carrying 162 episodes. This anime was an immense success. 

The story follows the main protagonist Gon, who was told that his parents were dead. Later on, he discovered that his father his alive and he went to become a hunter just like his dad. With his friends and his own potential, he seeks for his father who left him when he was a child. The anime is truly a piece of art and no denying it is one of the best anime of all time.



1. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

The Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is at number one in our list. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an adventure, dark fantasy and science fiction anime. According to me, this anime is one of the best anime of all time. The second anime adaption was aired in 2009 to 2010 carrying 64 episodes. The previous Fullmetal Alchemist was released in 2003. 

Unlike the previous adaption, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a 1:1 adaption following the original manga. The story follows two brothers Elric and Alphonse who lost their body parts in order to revive their dead mother. Elric lost his arm and a leg but Alphonse lost his whole body. To bring their bodies back, they went on a journey to find the Philosopher's Ston. The story mainly revolves around these two characters but other characters also get introduced as the story proceed. If you haven't watched that anime. I suggest you go and watch this piece of art.
